Bay Area Photography

I've been a natural light portrait photographer since 2006. I love doing photoshoots; in particular, I love working with people who say they dislike having their picture taken. I know how beautiful I felt the first time someone took a picture of me where I looked at it and really could believe that maybe, just maybe, I was pretty. I want to give that gift to others, whether it is a family portrait session, an online dating photo, a business photograph for a website, or wedding photography.

how to set up a portrait session

Email me at kate -at- yourcourageouslife -dot- com with "photo session" in the subject line, or call me at 510.827.0303 to set up a time. I book sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area, which includes Alameda, Oakland, San Francisco, and the surrounding suburbs. (Note that some locations may require a travel fee; you can waive this fee by choosing to stage your shoot in Alameda, CA).

what are your portrait session rates?

The rate includes the time and care put into the session itself, as well as the time invested in preparing the files digitally--ensuring that the coloring and tone of each photograph is as beautiful as can be. Photographs are delivered to you on a CD, ready for printing.

Portrait sessions are $350, and include the following:

* Up to two hours of time for the session.
* Creation of a password protected online image gallery, viewable by anyone you give the password to, from which you may select twenty favorite images for special post-processing.
* Post-processing = cropping, tinting and sizing, fixing minor blemishes, adjusting color balance and other cosmetic changes, of your twenty favorites.
* A CD containing digital copies of your twenty favorites, which you can use to reprint your photographs in any size and any quantity, or share them across the internet with faraway family and friends!
