TO BE SOVEREIGN
IS TO BE GROUNDED IN who you are.

It is:
- Priorities that feel like a joy, not a burden.
- Passion without overwhelm or exhaustion.
- Being in right relationship with others, with your time, with your money, with your deepest desires.
- Feeling capable of changing your own life, and by extension, capable of changing the world for the better.

THE SOVEREIGN EXPERIENCE

The Sovereign Experience is a woman-centric 6-month program for unhooking from lifelong habits that just don’t work, and creating new habits that connect you to your Most Courageous Self.

You’ll emerge living in a way that lets who you truly are on the inside–your deepest ambitions, joys, and possibilities–become how you actually live, on the outside.

The Sovereign Experience is a coming home to yourself. It’s not a flashy life-makeover full of bluster and hustle.

We’re clearing away the excess, to get to the heart of the matter:

you, living in a way where you feel sovereign over your life.

tired of being so…tired?

You’re ready for The Sovereign Experience when you’re tired of keeping-on, keeping-on. You’re tired of the juggle: marriage, time, kids, money, work, giving back, spiritual practice, health, relationships, family.

This is for the woman standing at a fork in the road of her life, seeing that the old patterns and ways of being aren’t working, and the exhaustion of trying to be better/be more/be enough has to stop. Now.

It’s for the person tired of feeling time-starved, joy-starved, uncertain about how to relate to her body, unsure of how to rehabilitate relationships that have gone stagnant, overwhelmed at how to be a positive force for change in the world.

This is for the person who’s ready to have deep-level support so that a stronger, more resilient, more joyful and connected way of being emerges.

what we’re doing (together)

In The Sovereign Experience, we are…

  • slowing down and getting real, not pushing-pushing-pushing, to create lasting shifts in your life.
  • getting clear on our (true) priorities and feeling okay about letting go of the rest (and, finally getting some rest–some true breathing space in our lives!).
  • recognizing the habits that undermine our progress and learning how to create new, brain-based habits that make change easier.
  • untethering from feeling controlled by the clock, by our finances, by other people’s expectations, by our own perfectionism.
  • creating regular, small wins + connection + joy + boundaries that uplift.
  • connecting with a like-minded community and receiving real-time, ongoing support (both one-on-one and community support).

how we’re doing it

The Sovereign Experience uniquely uses what we know about the science of breaking old habits and creating new habits, to create lasting change.

We’re connecting community support with individual support, putting together the best of what you can get from a community experience with receiving regular one-on-one coaching. Some of your work will be done in a community of other women, and you’ll also be receiving one-on-one coaching sessions that align with your unique program goals.

You’ll be creating consistency from week to week–essential for any life change–going beyond “life hacks” and getting into connecting to your truest way of being in the world.

As you strengthen this connection to who you are beyond the to-do lists, old patterns, and stuck spaces, you build a foundation for living in a way that’s softer at the same time that it is bolder and that is rooted in this truth: you’ve got this.

This price includes the entire program and materials, as well as the one-on-one coaching sessions. There are no additional costs, excepting the usual costs for either cell phone or internet in order to access calls and materials.

** We cap registration at 20 participants. Registration closes when the program fills, so earlier registration is advised.

hey, I’m kate.

In case we haven’t met:
my name is Kate Swoboda.

I’m the author of the book The Courage Habit (New Harbinger Publications) and I’ve been a life coach since 2006. I’ve facilitated numerous online programs and courses, including an in-depth life coach training certification. My work has appeared in Forbes, USA Today, Business Insider, MindBodyGreen, the PsychCentral podcast, and more, and I’ve facilitated at conferences such as the World Domination Summit.

I know what it’s like to stand at the precipice of true change, to deeply desire a profound shift, and to feel frustrated when it just isn’t happening despite our best efforts. I don’t promise quick-fixes.

In The Sovereign Experience, participants will be getting in-depth support for finally moving through the things that have left them feeling blocked for far, far too long. What’s on the other side of that will be profound, but what’s more profound will be the journey along the way and how we show up for one another and step into more courage, again and again.

The Courage Habit, now available on Amazon at booksellers everywhere.

When you put in the work and engage with the Sovereign Experience, you will be forever changed.

Who are the facilitators?
You’ll be working with me (Kate) every week, as well as master coaches and facilitators Lara Heacock, Valerie Tookes, and Liz Applegate. Important to note: we don’t just assign you to someone and leave it at that. You’ll be engaging with all of us during the program, and you are welcome to use the sessions that are included in The Sovereign Experience with each of us, as you like.
Is Kate actually teaching the content?
Yes, absolutely! I love teaching and facilitating, and I don’t enroll people in programs only to farm out the work to someone else. There will be a few calls where guest facilitators will teach the call content, but most calls will be taught by me.
What will the lessons cover?
We will start out with getting (truly) clear on what you (truly) want and why you (truly) want it. Rather than just setting a few goals, we’ll be looking at the “why” behind those desired shifts.

Because time, resistance, and money are very real challenges for anyone looking to change something in her life, we’re going to start untethering from those stuck spaces. However, we’re going to do it by looking at the unique habits that you’ve developed over a lifetime–the ones that you go into automatically–and start our shifts by relating to those habits, differently.

We will also look at your relationship to health, setting priorities, and have a special module on “when things fall apart” (we’re not going to assume that this work only works when things are going well; we’re going to get into how to apply this work and keep your momentum even when things are difficult).

When are calls held?
All calls are held 1:00-3:00pm Pacific (4:00-6:00pm Eastern)

January 22, 29

February 2 (a Saturday), then Feb 5, 12, 19, 26

March 5, 12, 19, 26

April 9, 16, 23, 30

May 7, 14, 21

June 4, 11th (final call)

* All calls will be recorded, and access to recordings will be made available if you need to miss a call. A full calendar with the content to be covered on each call will be given to participants in January.

What call system will we use?
We’ll use UberConference for all calls. Uber Conference is a pared-down, less complicated version of conference call services such as Zoom. There’s no software to install, free international numbers are available, and you can choose between calling in on a phone line or via a computer.

For those who have never used a virtual classroom such as this before, the leader of our calls will be able to mute lines so that we aren’t all talking over one another, and you’ll be able to signal to us (“raising your hand”) when you want to share something or ask a question.

Do I have to be on Facebook, to participate?
No. We’re getting away from all of that noise and putting everyone in a private community portal for communication. Because we cap our group at 20 people to create a smaller, more intimate community, we can sloooooow down.

We ask that you spend approximately 10-15 minutes a day sharing about your process or responding to what others have shared about theirs. That’s it.

What's the call format?
Calls with the entire group will be a mix of lesson content on the call, and Q&A.

Some calls will be smaller breakout calls with your peers.

What books and materials will we use?
Materials: you’ll need access to a reliable phone line and internet connection in order to participate on group calls, one-on-one coaching, and to access materials. We strongly suggest wired, not wireless, headsets in order to ensure that you have the best call quality.

Books: Ah, the challenge of trying to narrow down all the amazing books in the world to just those few that we’ll use for The Sovereign Experience! We are still finalizing book choices, but at this time top contenders include “The Body is Not An Apology” by Sonya Renee Taylor, a few different titles by author Cheri Huber, “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown, and more. To encourage true sovereignty (and not dogma) we don’t follow any one particular book as having “the answer.” Rather, we encourage you to take what you like and what is most helpful for you, from each book that we study.

What's the cost and refund policy?
The Sovereign Experience is $5,000. You can pay in full, or use our installment plan: register your deposit and then pay $500/month for six months.

This price includes the entire program and materials, as well as one-on-one coaching sessions. There are no additional costs, excepting the usual costs for either cell phone or internet in order to access calls and materials.

You would register your deposit by clicking the “Register for Sovereign” button, and when we see your registration we will welcome you to the program. The additional installments would be invoiced monthly (January, February, March, April, May, June 2019), due on the 15th.

Refunds: The tuition paid for your program is used to cover program expenses, including employment of our support team. A portion of tuition is also donated to several organizations that are creating different forms of choice and sovereignty in other people’s lives: Charity: Water, The Southern Poverty Law Center, Planned Parenthood, and the American Civil Liberties Union. To ensure that we don’t offer a position to someone that we are then unable to pay them for (which causes a trickle effect of financial instability in their lives), and to ensure that we can be consistent in giving to the organizations that offer support for multitudes of other people, we don’t offer refunds for any portion of The Sovereign Experience. By enrolling your deposit, you’re agreeing to pay the tuition in full.

How many people will participate?
To create a personal experience, we cap registration at a maximum of twenty people.
What's the time commitment?
Other than our weekly call, we suggest 1-2 hours set aside for personal inquiry work that is related to each week’s lesson content. Don’t worry; you can’t really “fall behind” with this curriculum. If anything, the lessons from The Sovereign Experience will be those lessons that you depend on and return to time and again throughout your life (and yes, you can keep all of the lessons when the course is finished).

We’ll also ask that you spend 10-15 minutes daily either sharing about your process in our private communication portal, or responding to others who have shared. 10-15 minutes is all. We want this process to be one that you create with ease in mind.

At what time will the coaching sessions be offered?
There will be different time slots of availability during the day, evenings, and even on weekends. You’ll find the time that is the best match for your schedule.
What happens after I register?
We’ll be reaching out to you with a personal welcome and the Sovereign Questions, an in-depth questionnaire where we start learning about you, what you want, and begin our own process of customizing this program experience for you.

We’ll begin connecting the entire group in our private portal, in January, at which time you’ll also receive all of your materials and the full curriculum calendar.
