So many of us talk about compassion and love and acceptance, and then those world views don’t always play out in our day-to-day choices. We get to choose this--to take this work on with a singular focus, to let it inform our words, actions, the Stories we tell. And of course, this work starts within--it starts with you making the most courageous choice you'll ever make to love and trust in your own inherent goodness, and treat yourself with that level of kindness and care.

You need courage to risk annihilation, to strip away the armor, to be with the crap that arises. So you say you want your life to change? Excellent. The opportunities really are all around you--and not a single external thing needs to happen in order to for you revolutionize your life.

Regardless of where you are, today, think of the last time you felt particularly lost and broken. Consider: she won the battle, last time. She climbed through. She survived. She figured out what land looked on the other side of a seemingly endless ocean of hurt or pain.

Looking at where you inadvertently get stuck in transference becomes the doorway to seeing where you might practice the spaciousness of “I don’t know.” There’s a lot of fear, when we don’t know. That’s why we try so hard to find answers. But there’s also freedom in that spaciousness of “I don’t know.”
