There's wisdom in not needing to be right . In fact, it’s a huge relief—a weighty pressure that gets released when we realize that we don’t need to be right, don’t need to find and know and share all of the answers. If you want to change the world, stop making people wrong.
The fear of caring and the courage to give a damn
Why don’t people do more about the world’s problems? Is it because people just don’t care? Because they’re narcissistic and apathetic? I don’t think that that’s the case. I actually think that it’s about the fear of caring and the courage to give a damn. We fear caring too much because it’s heartbreaking to realize how little control we can exert. And still, we need to have the courage to give a damn.
