Handling difficult situations
As I recorded this episode, the Sonoma County fires of 2019 were happening--and I live in Sonoma County, approximately 20 miles from the initial origin of the fires. I wanted to share an episode on handling difficult situations and use challenging circumstances such as these fires and how they have impacted myself and my community, to highlight ways of handling difficult situations.
Peace, hard-won
A shoutout to all the people for whom their peace is hard-won. I understand the struggle it takes to just keep on moving, when you feel like everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong. You deserve kudos for your peace, hard-won.
Choosing who you surround yourself with
It’s common self-help advice that “you are the aggregate of the five people you spend time with” or to simply “let go” of people who are “toxic”--but is this way of being profoundly dehumanizing? In this podcast episode, I respond to a listener request to talk about choosing who you surround yourself with and how those people have an impact on your well-being. If you’ve felt conflicted about how to figure out who the people are who are your truest friends, and if you’ve been uncertain about how to effect change in your relationships, this episode is for you.
Learning to trust your intuition
Whether you have trouble trusting your intuition, or feel like you’ve got intuition on lock but could always use a few more insights, today’s podcast episode on learning to trust your intuition will break down some of the essential components. How do you know the difference between excitement and fear? How do you tell the difference between a “red flag” and needing to stretch into something outside your comfort zone? That’s what we’re talking about, today.
